Seguin-Fowler Receives Kenneth E. Freedland Founder’s Award


Based on her work developing, implementing, and evaluating community-based interventions targeting cardiovascular disease risk factors, primarily with Extension, as well as leadership and capacity building, faculty and student mentoring, teaching, and leadership and service work, Rebecca Seguin-Fowler, PhD, CSCS, RD, received the 2020 Kenneth E. Freedland Founder’s Award from the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s Cardiovascular Disease Special Interest Group. 

The Founder’s Award is granted to one individual per year in recognition of dedication to advancing research in cardiovascular behavioral medicine and reducing the public health burden of cardiovascular disease through research, mentorship, leadership, and service.
